The Wife's Prospective of the first week of Greek

Alex started a blog to keep everyone up to date about how things are going for us while he is in school. I thought why not give my prospective on our life with him as a student as well.

We have 1 week of Greek under our belt and yes I'm counting down for the next 6 to be done. I think I got through the first week of Greek with only 1 meltdown because my sister was here so I had her to visit with. I had a melt down because he's always studying! I'm just not used to him studying all the time - he very rarely studied while we were at Central so this is something new for me. And with Alex studying all the time it means I'm the primary parent which is different too - yes I've been a stay at home Mom (now a work from home Mom) but when he was working he was usually home part of the day so he could answer all the kids' questions or watch them while I ran errands, I just don't' think that's going to happen anytime soon. Part of my meltdown was due to stress too - we had been waiting for a loan check so we could pay some bills and buy groceries and it hadn't came and hadn't came. I'm still not convinced I'm not going to have to get a job so we can make ends meat but at the same time we can't afford childcare and even once school starts Kiefer will only be attending for a half a day.

So I have one week under my belt, and Alex took yesterday and today (well most of today) off from studying and spent time with the family which was wonderful! It was nice to feel married again :0) So if nothing else during the week when I'm feeling lonely I'll be looking forward to the weekends when I'll get to see him a little more. I will also probably be on here a lot sharing my feelings too.

Hope you enjoy our journey through Seminary. To read Alex's blog, please visit http://thelifeandtimesofaseminarian.blogspot.com/
