WOW!

Okay I must admit I'm not liking Alex with his nose in the books all the time but I understand too - I know it is part of the process of him going back to school. I'm just used to being able to talk to him when I want to. Of course tonight I had to interrupt his studying to let him know that I got an award called "Go Give" from my Mary Kay unit; which my recruiter and director called me during the awards ceremony to let me know while everyone was there. It brought be to tears because it means so much to me! I really think my career in Mary Kay has changed my life. I just got another call and I finished #4 in my unit for sales - that too blew me away! I have only been a Beauty Consultant for 10.5 months!!!!!
Okay I started out on a happy note but now I have to share a very sad note - or at least very sad to me. I had to give up my car it got to the point we couldn't afford the car insurance on it and I was going to have to turn it in at the end of the month anyway so we decided to turn it in rather than risking something happening to it while it was in the parking lot. So now I'm a Greek widow without a vehicle that I'm willing to drive. We have another car but it's a HUGE car and I feel like a tiny little kid when I drive it and the streets here are so narrow that I'm afraid I'm going to sideswipe someone and I just can't seem to get the seat in a spot where I feel comfortable driving it. I need to use those frustration to grow my Mary Kay business so I can earn a car!!!! Oh I am officially an Ohioan now too - we got our Ohio drivers licenses today.
So here I sit on a Monday night full of excitement and thinking okay this week is not going to be so bad after all - Friday will be here before I know it so I can spend some time with my hubby again!
I'm signing off for tonight because my hands are still shaking from hearing about the award that it's hard to type.

(by the way The Go Give Award is in memory of an National Sales Director who went above and beyond to help other women be successful--no matter if they were in her sales unit or not. This award is won from nominations by the peers in our unit.)
