Well, things have been a little better - tonight I got a lead on a car that I would LOVE for it to work out, then I might have the ability to go out and get a part-time job or something while Kiefer is in school, it will be hard though because I'd have very limited time while he's in school and I can't imagine paying for daycare in the area. I was looking for a place to get my haircut (and eyebrows waxed) and there are 2 places in town one would cost me $44 and the other place would cost $50 - so I called the wonderful person that has been cutting my hair for the last several years (I've lost track of how long now) and she's going to go in to cut my hair on Labor Day weekend when I'm in Charlotte - she's so sweet!!! I actually made appts for Kiefer & Emali too and even for all 3 of us it will be less than $35!! I just can't pay that much for a haircut, I feel guilty if I buy myself a new shirt or something - I'd really feel guilty paying that much for a haircut. Okay off that soapbox :)
We signed Kiefer up for soccer this week, he's really excited about it - he'll start the Sunday after labor day and it goes for 6 weeks - that will be fun. Our parks & rec dept also offers a dance class so I'm going to see if Emali wants to do that too seems how they don't have cheerleading which was what she wanted to do. She really likes ballet she just doesn't like the recital at the end of the class and with this I think it would be more instructional than anything. So we'll see.
August 26th is the first day of school for the kids - that will be really weird!!! Kiefer is really excited about starting Kindergarten and Emali is a littl scared I think with going to a new school. Alex is done with Greek on August 22nd and then starts Orientation on August 27th - it will be interesting to see if he has to study as much once he starts regular classes, I guess at this point I feel it can't be any worse that what it is right now. He gets home from class at 12:30 then studies from 2:00-5:30 then from 7:00-9:30 or 10:30 so needless to say I don't seem him much, I've noticed the kids have been asking him more and more if he has class tomorrow or if he has to study, I think they're starting to miss doing things with him too. This weekend we probably won't do much because Alex has to work on his final project for Greek but I'm hoping we can do something or go somewhere at least one day or night, I hate being couped up in the house all the time.
I really like that I've started scrapbooking again - it makes the days go faster when I'm home alone (the kids are usually outside playing). Well, I'm going to watch some of the Olympics now so I'll sign off for now. Pray for us that we'll be able to figure out a way to get that car if it's still available. TTFN!

I'll keep my fingers crossed about the car! And I hope Keif likes his soccer. That is Melissa's favorite sport :)
