Been too long!

WOW!! It's been a while since I posted so now I'm going to try to play catch up! Well, walking the kids to school is quite a chore and frankly I'm tired of it already and unfortunately I have all school year still. The good thing is Alex has a 1/2 semester class that will be ending in a week or 2 and then I'll only have to walk the kids to school on Tues & Thurs. After school well, that's a whole nother story!! I'm on the schedule for 3 days out of the week but I go everyday because Kiefer's teacher won't release him to anyone but a parent - lately though I've wound up walking the whole group home by myself the other parent that is supposed to walk with me has started driving more and more each day which is annoying me because then I get to listen to all the kids that don't fit in his van (if he takes more than just his 2) whine all the way home. Okay off that soap box now :)

While walking to school I admire all the houses and it seems like every morning something amazes me, we live in such a "rich" district. It seems like every morning I'll see kids (elementary age which goes through 6th grade here) walking to school drinking their mocha's or coffee or whatever and those that get dropped off get out of their Lexus' or BMW's or Honda mini vans which is what just about what everyone has. I am excited though because I got a new vehicle over the weekend and I have to admit part of why I like it so much is because I feel like I fit in when I'm in it. I got a Chrysler Pacifica which was possible because I have the best parents in the world. We weren't able to take out a loan because with having a foreclosure our credit is not real great and we don't have much income so my parents took out the loan and we're making the payments on it. I am so excited to have a vehicle though, I no longer feel trapped in my house which is awesome!! I don't have to borrow a car to take Kiefer to school anymore which is even nicer. I feel like things are finally looking up for a while.

On a not so happy note the past couple of weeks has been a real eye opener on how amazing life is. We found out last Wednesday (10/1) that our nephew who is 15 has Classic Hodgkin's Lymphoma - the good thing is it has about an 85% curable rate. If you are reading this, please pray for him and his Mom who I can't imagine what she is going through.

Well, I can't think of anything else at this point but I'll try not to let it go so long next time!
