Spring Semester Starts

Well in the realization of today being the first day of the Spring Semester and the dumb groundhog saying there is another 6 weeks of winter I think I'm ready to crawl in a hole for a while. I'm not looking forward to this semester! Alex has 5 classes this semester and he's now working on Fridays which used to be our afternoon together so I have come to the conclusion that I won't see him for 14 weeks. I figure he'll get home from school and go up to his little cave in the bedroom to do homework. I will be looking forward to Spring Break! I don't think we're doing anything in particular for spring break - we'll probably go to MI to see family but that's about it - especially if we're not going to make it up there for Easter. Emali really wants to sing on Easter Sunday at the church Alex is assigned to so my parents might come down here instead. Which sounds good to me because I hate traveling anymore.

Last night was the Super Bowl - we went over to a friends house (a fellow seminary family) and I watched half of the game over there until I needed to come home to get Emali in bed. While putting her in bed I discovered that the window right next to her bed had been leaking. I was not happy and then a little while later I heard what sounded like water dripping so I went downstairs I didn't find any water dripping BUT I did discover that the ceiling (floor of the living room) has mold on it so now I'm thinking I might have discovered why Kiefer is having such a hard time lately. He is allergic to mold & dust (and this place is beyond dusty!) so I need to make sure he's taking his allergy medicine everyday.

Well for those of you who have been reading, I had mentioned something about getting a new kitty - we had filled out the adoption papers for a kitten and we got turned down because we don't have a vet history with Rascal. So after being very bummed out - Alex and I talked and we've decided that it was a sign that we're just not supposed to get a new kitty right now. We're thinking when we move we'll get 2 kittens so they can keep each other company if Rascal doesn't want to play with a kitten.

This week my goal is to put together something for all the mom's in Emali & Kiefer's classes to see if I can get some facials set up. I have to do something - I want to succeed with my Mary Kay but I'm really bad at cold contacting people and that's what I need to start doing. I need to get some clients down here that I'm working with. I have a few but I'd like to get some regular ones - the ones I'm working with now are Seminary Students or spouses of and they are great but they're not going to be the steady clients that I need right now to get me going again.

Kiefer is 6! I still can't believe it. It's kind of neat to watch him change after he's had a birthday - his teeth are shifting! His top 2 front teeth are wiggly (one more than the other) and his teeth have shifted to make room for this new adult teeth. I'll be surprised if by the end of the week he's not missing at least one of them!

Well, I have run out of thoughts so .... that's all folks.

Kiefer is getting so big! Topher lost his two front teeth... hard to believe our little guys are old enough for that. Hope you are doing well and keeping warm!
