5 more weeks to go

Well today is the start of the countdown for 5 weeks to go which means after today there are 24 more classes to go. Not that I'm counting down or anything :0) You know I have to say that yes Alex is studying a lot but he's the greatest! If I don't have the kids in bed yet when he comes in from studying at night (usually around 9) then he'll pitch right in and help me finish getting them in bed. He is really trying to have some family time in with all his studying too which is wonderful and he's making it so it's not so bad. When he goes out to study in the evening I'll usually do up the dishes and then go sit with them and read or just listen to them and be amazed that they can make a word out of those little characters on the page.
This weekend my parents are coming to visit and I'm really excited about that, it's been a month since I've seen them and my Dad hasn't made it down to see where we live yet. The kids are really excited too.
Yesterday I took time to totally reorganize my kitchen which has made it a lot better for me, the kitchen was made for the jolly green giant and me being so short was constantly climbing on the counters to reach stuff so now all the stuff I use often is down low where I can reach it :)
I feel kind of guilty sometimes because I find myself counting down until the kids start school but then I think what am I going to do that half day while Kiefer is in school. I told Alex that I'm hoping he goes in the morning and then I can walk the kids to school then go for a run (yes that's something I want to start doing) and then come home and get around then go back and pick him up. We live in the school district called Bexley and it's a walking district so I'll be getting my exercise for sure when the kids start school because it's about a mile walk each direction and I'll be doing it 4 times a day.
Okay back to me running...Alex has started running and I've decided I need to do something too so I'm going to start running as soon as I can get a good pair of tennis shoes, the ones I have right now kill my feet to walk in - several of our neighbors run and they have all inspired me. Alex has also got me eating healthier too we've started eating multi-grain bread and wheat bagels, tortillas, and pitas. It's something he probably never dreamt I'd do but I'm getting there :)
This week I need to find some place to get my haircut, I can't stand it any longer but I'm really scared to just go anywhere my hair is naturally wavy and I've had the same person cutting it for about 4 years and she knows my hair. We went last Friday and got library cards for our public library which I felt very out of place in, it's rather quite fancy for a library! But what do you expect when you live in such a rich area. Alex went on Saturday and got the license plates for his car so we are officially Ohioans now!
Well I guess now that I've touched on several very random thoughts I'll call it good for now. I'll be updating again soon so check back often.

Hey Tina,
I hope the next few weeks fly by fast for everyone.
The summer classes Josh had online are offically done as of today. So I can tell you time does fly by fast.
I am sure Alex is doing very well with his Greek class.
I think it's a great idea to have a blog as well.
Have a great week.
